“I was sick and you cared for me:”
Health Care as a Moral Issue. Rev. Craig Scott Speaking
As of this writing, we have no idea whether there will be federal Health Care
legislation by the end of January ’10,
and if so, what it will look like. But, whatever the situation,
we know that the struggle will not be over.
So, for us as a community of faith, what are the ethical ramifications
of the ongoing effort to provide universal access to health care?
Sunday, January 31, 10 a.m., Fellowship House, Sonora
We will view the video of June General Assembly in Salt Lake. In her talk, “We Ask You to Believe,”
Angela Herrera, a ministerial candidate and student at Harvard Divinity School,
describes how she learned that “it’s not true that [UUs] don’t have to believe in anything!”
As we UUs struggle both as individuals and together as a people of faith,
we continue to build our beloved community.
Bring your own ideas of “what you/we believe”
and plan on a lively discussion following this short video!
